Alcohol is still one of the most underestimated drugs. No wonder: in moderate amounts, alcohol can be healthy.  However, Cheyne Kobzoff was far from moderate, as he tells in an interview with “Vice”  . The alcohol ruined his life – which is why he decided to take a drastic measure: cold deprivation.

Actually he had everything he needed: a woman, a great job and two children. And yet his life was terrible. Every morning with a headache to wake up and his belly always growing to see, Cheyne stopped no longer. On March 23, 2016, he decided to stop drinking. ” I just did not like who I was. I did not like what it did to my body. ”

With sports and alcohol withdrawal the pounds tumbled ever faster – and now, only a year later, Cheyne weighs 24 kilograms less.

The result was proud of Instagram. And it can be seen:

One year alcohol free has changed my life. 53 pounds lighter. #stopdrinking

There was no trigger for the decision. “It just got stuck with time,” he told Vice. “I started drinking at fifteen. Every weekend was every day. ”

So he managed to take off 24 kilograms

Cheyne had to find out that all beginnings were really difficult. At first he replaced the alcohol with sweets and lemonade. Then he began to run, and ran more and more and more and more, until he covered distances which he himself would never have imagined: only 1.5 kilometers in 13 minutes, or five kilometers in 25 minutes. But not only that:

“I could never do sit-ups, but I started with cross-raising, squats and bank-pressing. Soon I had a six pack. So I tried again sit-ups and then easily ripped down 60. ”

The taste of alcohol sometimes fails him, he reveals. However, he does not miss his old lifestyle: “I can stay up late, get up early and feel good anyway.” And you can see that!
